FONTAINE, Faye Nixon

Greencastle, Ind – Faye N. Nixon Fontaine, 82, Greencastle, a sorority housemother more than 25 years at four Indiana universities, died Tuesday in Putnam County Hospital here.  Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in East Maplewood Cemetery at Anderson. Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday in Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home here. Mrs. Fontaine, the widow of Arthur V. Fontaine, had been the housemother for six different sororities and one fraternity in Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Arizona. In Indiana, she ran Greek houses at Butler, Indiana and Purdue Universities before taking the job as housemother for Delta Gamma Sorority at DePauw here.  She was a native of Buffalo, Ind and lived at Anderson before moving to Greencastle several years ago.  She was a member of Greencastle Presbyterian Church, to which memorial contributions may be made.
